Miquelon Lake : ウィキペディア英語版 | Miquelon Lake
Miquelon Lake is a lake in Alberta, Canada, located in the heart of Miquelon Lake Provincial Park. The lake is heavily used for recreation; ranging from swimming on a designated beach to several types of boats. The lake is relatively shallow, making boats at risk of hull scratches. High salinity levels stunt the growth of algae, making it rare.〔http://sunsite.ualberta.ca/Projects/Alberta-Lakes/view/?region=North%20Saskatchewan%20Region&basin=Battle%20River%20Basin&lake=Miquelon%20Lake&number=92〕 == History == Miquelon Lake was part of a larger lake in the past that dwindled down into three distinct basins, often called the Miquelon Lakes. The largest of these basins is Miquelon Lake. In 1920, the area was designated as a bird sanctuary.〔http://www.albertawow.com/layout_maps/Miquelon_Campground_Brochure.pdf〕 On May 20, 1958,〔 the provincial park around the three basins, Miquelon Lake Provincial Park, was established.
